Good and sturdy class III receiver. Only gave it 4 instead of 5 stars as it needed drilling to mount it on. You need to drill larger holes in your car and mounting it does require an extra pair of hands as it's not that easy aligning the holes while threading through the wires for the nuts and bolts. It does fit well and is sturdy, doesn't stick out too much being quite flush to the vehicle.

Purchased this hitch for my 2011 Subaru Forester Premium X for a fraction of the price that UHaul was quoting. Installation was fairly easy, although not as easy as the hitch I installed on our 2009 Pontiac Vibe which had the nuts welded into the body. Total install time was approximately 1.5 hours including getting all the tools, setting up the workspace and actually reading the instructions. They aren't the best instructions out there, but they are adequate. Fishing the first bolt was a little nerve wrecking; subsequent bolts/washers went in like nothing. I've already used the hitch to carry bikes (Yakima 4 bike rack) and tow a trailer. Receivers and accessories fit nicely although the pin location is a little awkward. The hitch does stick out below the bumper (duh) but not so much that it obtrusive. I would argue it looks proper on a Subaru. Very happy with the purchase!

This is the 2nd Curt hitch I've owned, and I expect it to be just as durable as the 1st (installed on a 20014 Honda CR-V). I really like that the Class III hitch has a 2-inch box, compatible with most receivers and hitch accessories (unlike the 1-1/4" Class II hitch). Just remember that the Forrester is limited to 2,400 lbs with trailer breaks. Installation took me about 90 minutes including setup and cleanup (my garage is not well organized). An organized mechanic's shop could finish the job in under 1 hr.

Installation involves removing 5 exhaust hangers, and cutting/grinding to enlarge the chasis mounting holes
Requires a coulpe of tools not found in every non-mechanic's garage (Dremmel and torque wrench).
