Whoever invented this was genius. It comes in pieces so takes some work to put together, but nothing too difficult. Then the slip cover velcros on. Looks great and comfortable to lean against. I highly recommend.

I had replaced an ugly, creaky wooden bed frame with a sturdy metal frame that allows tons of storage underneath, but no place to attach a headboard. This headboard comes with feet, and stands on its own between the head of my bed and the wall. This protects the wall from my bed's metal frame, and gives the bed the finished look I wanted.
Assembly was easy, and would have been easier if I hadn't opened the bags of hardware and mixed them together . . .
The cover the headboard came with is a soft neutral taupe, and matches better with my dark brown comforter than the CRAVE brown slipcover I ordered, which I will send back. The quality of the fabric on the alternative CRAVE brown slip cover is much nicer than the taupe one the head board came with.
My only complaint: the headboard was made to be attached to the bed frame, and the slip cover does not cover the area where the hardware to connect to the frame is --- in my case, this leaves an ugly white rectangle which is usually covered by my bed's skirt. It would be nice if it came with a flap of fabric that could cover that space if not attached to a bed frame.
